Brief description
The technician was dispatched to a customer’s home to service their Whirlpool tumble dryer that was not starting in any drying mode and displayed an F01 error code. Upon arrival, the technician verified the issue by attempting to initiate a cycle to no avail and noting the error code on the display. The technician checked the power supply and circuit breaker before inspecting the user interface control board, sensing no functionality. After conferring with the customer service history and symptoms, the technician determined the control board failed and required replacement. The board was removed and a new OEM control board was installed. The unit was powered back on, successfully entered a drying cycle and achieved the proper operating temperature without issue.
