Yesterday, a technician was called out to repair a refrigerator that had been leaking water. Upon arrival, he inspected the refrigerator and determined that the source of the leak was a crack in the water line leading to the ice maker. After turning off the water supply, he removed the ice maker to gain access to the damaged line. He replaced the cracked section of tubing with a new copper line and reinstalled the ice maker. With the repair complete, he turned the water back on and confirmed that there were no further leaks.
